DALLAS—Theatre Brookhaven presents "The Vagina Monologues" March 1-3 and 8-10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Brookhaven College Performance Hall.

The Vagina Monologues While the V-word may not come up naturally in everyday conversation, "The Vagina Monologues" brings the topic out of the shadows and into the spotlight. The play presents a selection of monologues showcasing each woman’s story and defining the roles and challenges of women in the modern world. Experiences shared by many but seldom discussed are related through honest dialogue that ranges from blunt to endearing and horrifying to humorous, but above all entertaining and memorable.

"In 2018, staging a production of 'The Vagina Monologues' is more than just a theatrical experience; it is an artistic uprising, a radical act, an act of resistance," said Lisa Devine, theater professor. "A wildly eclectic group of women willing to break the taboos and talk about well… everything."

The episodic play, written by Eve Ensler and directed by Lisa Devine, is presented by Brookhaven School of the Arts and Theatre Brookhaven in association with the Office of Student Life.

This production contains adult language and subject matter and may not be suitable for all audiences.

Performances are free and open to the public. For ticket information and reservations visit https://www1.dcccd.edu/bhc/bcsa-tickets.
