It’s an exciting start to 2024 as we launch our new Workforce Development Training Center.

Located inside the former RedBird Mall, we’ve transformed approximately 53,000 square feet of space into an innovative workforce training ground in the heart of south Dallas – an area with limited career training resources.

In partnership with the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas, the center prepares individuals for employment in high-demand sectors – all while ensuring training is flexible and responsive.

This aligns with one of our strategic priorities to reduce income disparity by targeting the underserved populations, and we’ve committed $5 million to the startup and annual operation of the project. While our investment lays the foundation, we’re working with the philanthropic community to provide continued support over the next 3 years. Truly creating the transformational change this community needs.

This is another example of Dallas College busting barriers as we will bring training and opportunity right here to our neighborhoods. Check out our website for more details on the exciting workforce opportunities available here and throughout Dallas College.
