Dallas College is proud to have exhausted $75 million in federal CARES Act money providing emergency aid to our students. Applications for aid are currently closed. Check back in May for more information about a revised program. If you need assistance, please contact our Basic Needs and Community Connections team. They can help with a variety of resources.

Please read our Emergency Aid Fund FAQs before contacting our student care team.

If you have additional questions or concerns, please email CARES@dcccd.edu or call 214-860-5800 for assistance.

Paying for necessities such as food, shelter, child care, transportation or health care can be challenging, especially when emergencies happen. The good news is you are not alone. Emergency financial support is available.

The Dallas College Emergency Aid Fund and federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) assist students who are considering putting their education on hold due to a financial emergency.

Who Can Apply?

  • All enrolled students are eligible to apply.
  • You can apply once per semester.
  • You must have a valid student ID.
  • You can apply regardless of your citizenship status in the U.S.
