Emergency Aid

​​​​​​​​​​Are you a Dallas College student facing a temporary financial hardship from a sudden emergency? We may be able to provide financial help so you can stay in school. (Please note: Funding is not guaranteed.)

 
  • You must have a temporary financial hardship resulting from a sudden emergency, accident or unforeseen event.
  • You must be currently enrolled at Dallas College during the semester you seek financial assistance.
  • Other possible resources must have been exhausted. This includes but is not limited to Dallas College and community resources.
  • Funds are awarded only to the recipient.
  • You must be able to provide requested documentation.
  • You are eligible to apply for a one-time emergency aid grant each semester at Dallas College.
 

Typical expenses not covered may include but are not limited to:

  • Expenditures that can be met with an existing Dallas College or community resource
  • Health insurance
  • Household costs not related to damage or theft
  • Costs for entertainment or recreation
  • Nonemergency travel or other nonessential expenses
  • Expenses you have as a result of poor financial management and not an emergency
 
  • Complete the Student Care Referral Form with proper documentation. You must provide proper documentation within the Student Care Referral Form and/or during your intake appointment with the Student Care Network staff. This may include but is not limited to: documentation of the crisis (as applicable), bills or invoices for payments to be made (as applicable).
  • A Student Care Network staff member will contact you if we need more information.
  • Once you submit this form, a Student Care Network staff member will contact you to set up a time to discuss your needs and appropriate on- and off-campus resources that may be available, including if emergency aid is appropriate.
  • The Dallas College Emergency Aid Fund ​is not guaranteed.
