Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Arts (AA) degree with a Field of Study in Business Administration and Management, which will increase your chances of transfer to earn a BBA at UT Arlington. Although there may be several options to fulfill certain requirements for the associate’s degree, please note that this pathway lists the specific courses leading to this bachelor’s degree. All plans can be modified to fit the needs of part-time students. This is not an official degree plan. Refer to catalog for official degree requirements. You must receive a GPA of at least 2.00 on all college-level course work. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. COMPLETE PRIOR TO TRANSFER

  • MATH 1316 – Mathematics for Economics and Business Analysis MATH 1325 can be taken at Dallas College.
  • UNIV-BU 1101 – Career Preparation and Student Success EDUC 1300, HDEV 0092, or HDEV 0100 can be taken at Dallas College.

These courses should be completed prior to transfer to UTA. If these courses have not been completed prior to transfer, these courses will need to be taken in Semester 1 or 2 with UTA.

This timeline is based on a Management BBA degree. Courses and the recommended semester may be different for degrees in accounting, business analytics, economics, finance, informations systems, international business, management, marketing, operations management or real estate.

This timeline is a recommendation, strategically developed for students' success, based on proper positioning of prerequisites and a balanced course load targeting a timely two year graduation after transferring to UT Arlington College of Business. An alternate plan would include 12 hours each long semester and 6 hours during the summer for a total of 30 completed hours per academic year.

Please note: Transfer admissions to UTA requires a minimum 2.25 GPA on all academic coursework; grades of D or lower do not transfer. Students who successfully complete the core curriculum at Dallas College as noted in this pathway plan before enrolling at UTA will be considered core complete if certified as such by Dallas College; core complete students will not need to take coursework to complete UTA’s core curriculum.

To declare a major in the College of Business, students must:

*Complete the College of Business (CoB) math requirement, and *Complete a minimum of twenty four (24) hours of business course work at UT Arlington; and *Earn an overall grade point average of 2.00 at UT Arlington, and *Earn a business grade point average of 2.00 at UT Arlington
