WHEREAS, an election was held within Dallas County on November 3, 2020 to elect one (1) member of the Board of Trustees in each of the Trustee Districts 5 and 6; and
WHEREAS, the returns and accompanying records of the election have been delivered to the Chair and presiding officer of the Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, Section 67.002(a)(2), Election Code, requires the Board of Trustees to canvass the final returns of the election and Section 67.003(c), Election Code, requires the canvass not later than the fourteenth day after election day; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees, after review and examination of the returns of the election, is of the opinion that the returns are in all respects proper and legal; and
WHEREAS, it appears from the records maintained by the Dallas County Elections Department that the votes cast in Trustee Districts 5 and 6 are as shown on the tabulation of votes attached hereto and incorporated herein; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF DALLAS COLLEGE:
Section 1. That the returns of the trustee election held on November 3, 2020 for Trustee Districts 5 and 6 are canvassed and approved.
Section 2. That the persons who are listed below with a majority of the votes are declared elected, unless challenged as permitted by law or unless a runoff is indicated, as a member of the Board of Trustees for Districts 5 and 6, subject to their further qualifications as provided by law:

Section 3. That after the canvass of votes by the Board and completion of election certification, the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees shall promptly prepare and issue to the persons with a majority of the votes, named in Section 2. of this resolution and who were declared elected to the Board of Trustees, a Certificate of Election, and after these persons make the required statement disavowing bribery, which is filed with the Secretary to the Board of Trustees, and take the required oath of office, these persons shall occupy their respective districts as members of the Board of Trustees of Dallas College and are entitled to serve for a period of six years.
Section 4. That this resolution is effective upon adoption by the Board of Trustees of Dallas College.

RESOLUCIÓN DE LA INSPECCIÓN DE LA CAMPAÑA ELECTORAL Y DECLARACIÓN DE RESULTADOS DE LA ELECCIÓN DE SÍNDICOS DEL 3 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 2020
CONSIDERANDO QUE, se llevó a cabo una elección en elcondado de Dallas el 3 de noviembre de 2020 para elegir a un (1) miembro de la Junta de Síndicos en cada uno de los Distritos de Síndicos 5 y 6; y
CONSIDERANDO QUE, las declaraciones y los registros adjuntos de la elección se han entregado a la presidenta y aloficial que preside la Junta de Síndicos; y
CONSIDERANDO QUE, la Sección 67.002 (a) (2), del Código de Elección, requiere que la Junta de Síndicos inspeccione los resultados finales de la elección y la Sección 67.003 (c), Código de Elección, requiere la inspección a más tardareldecimocuarto día después deldía de la elección; y
CONSIDERANDO QUE, la Junta de Síndicos, despuésde revisar e inspeccionar los resultados de la elección, es de la opinión que los resultados son en todos los aspectos apropiados y legales; y
CONSIDERANDO QUE, se concluye de los registros mantenidos por el Departamento de Elecciones del Condado de Dallas que los votos emitidos en los Distritos de Síndicos 5 y 6 son los que se muestran en la tabulación de votos adjunta e incorporada aquí; POR LO TANTO:
SEA RESUELTO POR LA JUNTA DE SÍNDICOS DE DALLAS COLLEGE:
Sección 1. Que los resultados de la elección de síndicos celebrada el 3 de noviembre de 2020 para los Distritos de Síndicos 5 y 6 sean inspeccionados y aprobados.
Sección 2. Que las personas que se enumeran a continuación con una mayoría de los votos sean declaradas electas, a menos que sean disputadas de acuerdo con la ley o a menos que se indique una segunda vuelta, como miembros de la Junta de Síndicos de los Distritos 5 y 6, sujeto a requisitos adicionales estipulados por ley:

Sección 3. Que después de la inspección de votos por parte de la Junta y la finalización de la certificación de la elección, el Vicepresidente de la Junta de Síndicos preparará y enviará sin demora un Certificado de Elección a las personas con la mayoría de los votos, nombradas en la Sección 2. de esta resolución y que fueron declarados electos a la Junta de Síndicos, y después de que estas personas hagan la declaración requerida de rechazo de sobornos, que se hace ante el Secretario de la Junta de Síndicos, y tomen el juramento al cargo, estas personas ocuparán sus respectivos distritos como miembros de la Junta de Síndicos de Dallas College y tienen derecho a servir por un período de seis años.
Sección 4. Que esta resolución entra en vigencia luego de la aprobación por la Junta de Síndicos de Dallas College.
