Two Ways To Apply
- Dallas College Application is for all new and returning credit-seeking students
- ApplyTexas.org is for new and returning credit-seeking students, except for International and Dual Credit students.
All Continuing Education students should submit the an interest form or speak to a Continuing Education success coach.
After Your Application
After submitting your completed application, be on the lookout for an email that will contain your new student ID and appropriate next steps. Please allow 24-48 hours for your welcome email to arrive.
In the meantime, you can begin collecting the documents required to complete your admission.
Almost every student is eligible for some type of financial aid. That might mean federal grants or loans. But even if you aren’t eligible for federal aid, you may qualify for a work-study job, scholarships, emergency funds, food assistance and more.
But you must apply!

We know applying to college can be confusing. At Dallas College, you have a whole team of college coaches to guide you through the process.
Collect Required Documents
Important! While you might be currently working with a college coach (recruiter), before you can meet with your success coach (advisor) or register for classes, you must first submit the following documents.
1. High school and/or college transcripts
Transcripts can be sent electronically, directly from your previous school(s) to Dallas College.
- Request official high school transcripts from your previous high school.
- If you have attended other colleges, request official transcripts from your previous college(s).
- Please follow your institution’s (high school or secondary education institution) transcript request process to directly submit your official transcript(s) to Dallas College. Dallas College only accepts final, official transcripts sent directly from the issuing institution. Transcripts sent from personal email addresses cannot be accepted. Electronic methods of sending transcripts are highly preferred and will result in faster processing.

2. TSI assessment or high school test scores
- Request high school test scores (ACT, SAT, TAKS or STAAR) directly from the testing agency.
- Or take the TSI assessment at Dallas College.
3. Proof of meningitis vaccination
- If you are younger than 22, submit proof of the meningitis vaccination.

Free College Application Week
While it's free to apply to Dallas College, many of our students looking to transfer to a four-year university take advantage of Free College Application Week every October. This year it will be Oct. 12-18, 2026. All Texas residents applying for undergraduate admission at Texas public institutions through ApplyTexas may participate.
