New Student Orientation Day-Of Information

​​​We are excited to see you on campus for your New Student Orientation (NSO) Session! This is the start of an amazing journey, and we are thrilled to help get you started on the right foot! Take a moment to review the information below so you know what to expect on your orientation day.

Orientation Confirmation

You will receive a reminder email, in your Dallas College email account, seven days before your orientation session. Please reference this email for the date, time and campus location of your orientation session!

What T​o Bring

Here are a few things we recommend bringing with you:

  1. Something to write with and something to write on, in case you would like to take notes.
  2. A photo ID so you can get your Student ID card made.
  3. Any paperwork you have not yet submitted electronically (transcripts, test scores, meningitis records, etc.).
  4. Any questions that you have about the Dallas College experience.
  5. A parent or guardian: There are sessions for them to learn how they can help support your educational journey.
  6. A positive attitude and an open mind!

What to Expect

Upon arrival at your orientation session, stop by the check-in table to sign in. After that, browse the tables at the resource fair to learn more about available student support services and opportunities for involvement.

When orientation begins, you’ll not only learn more about Dallas College in the various sessions and presentations, but you will also meet other new and current students, develop academic and career goals, and begin to find your place within a diverse community of fellow learners.

Free lunch is provided at all orientation sessions, and you will also be able to pick up free Dallas College swag to show your school pride!
