Certified Nurse's Aide

A critical nursing shortage ensures immediate work for new graduates who have the skills and professionalism to take on this challenging but rewarding career. A CNA provides basic patient care and generally receives on-the-job training under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the following settings:

Clinics
Hospitals
Nursing homes
Long-term care facilities

You will learn principles of infection control, communication techniques and the skills to safely care for people. This program follows the standards and curriculum provided by the Texas Department of Aging and Accessibility Services and prepares a student for and includes the TDADS Nurse Aide State Exam.
