Construction Technology at North Lake

The Construction Technology program at North Lake is taught by local industry leaders in hands-on, state-of-the-art laboratories located near DFW Airport.

Developing Skills for Success

Construction Technology and other construction-related courses are taught with both classroom lecture and hands-on labs. All programs require participation in cooperative classes with industry employers.

We offer convenient evening and weekend hours and both credit and noncredit courses. All classes are held at our state-of-the-art Construction Sciences Center at 1401 W. Royal Lane, inside the DFW airport boundaries.

The objective of the unique educational partnership between North Lake and the local construction industry is to provide 1,300 construction companies in North Texas with trained employees at all levels. Course offerings include construction management, construction technology, masonry, plumbing and commercial heating and air conditioning.

Students are encouraged to join professional organizations such as:

  • Future Builders of America, a nonprofit workforce development and student leadership program that links students in area schools with the local building community.
  • The student chapter of the National Association of Home Builders, which offers resources for both members and consumers in the home building industry.
