Public Safety Programs Available Through Dallas College

Dallas College is licensed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to offer: (1) the Texas Basic Peace Officer Course, (2) the Texas Basic Correction Officer Course and (3) the state’s Basic Emergency Telecommunicator Course and (4) Certification programs in Private Security, Levels II, III and IV.

Dallas College is the one-stop shop for individuals interested in learning new approaches to better serving the community through public safety vocations. Graduates take certification examinations at the close and secure required licenses, enabling entrance into the various public safety vocations.
