Stack Your Credentials

One of the perks of studying Entrepreneurship with us is that you can “stack” credentials on your way to an associate degree. As a full-time student, you could earn these three credentials over four semesters total:

  • Entrepreneurial Foundations Certificate (1 semester total): Our program starts by teaching you the basics of starting your own business. You’ll learn about recognizing and evaluating opportunities, marketing and sales, venture capital, seed funding, and financial management. At the end of the first semester, you’ll be eligible to take an Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ESB) certification exam through Certiport.
  • Entrepreneurship Management Certificate (1 semester total): Building upon the foundational knowledge, you’ll dive into running and managing a small business. You’ll cover understanding customers, solving their problems, brainstorming solutions, and testing those solutions. By the end, you’ll be eligible to take the Design for Delight (D4D) Innovation Certification exam from Intuit.
  • Entrepreneurship Associate Degree (4 semesters total): Along with the coursework for the first two certifications, our associate degree program features additional core courses, a marketing course and 12 hours of “specialty options.” Specialty options let you build the skills you want. These courses are designed to help you develop products or services for your business. You can focus on areas such as culinary arts, fashion, interior design, engineering design and other specialties to ensure you’re well-rounded and equipped to start the business of your dreams.

Note: Certification exams are delivered within courses, and you must pass the certification exam to become certified. Passing the exam, not the course, is how you will earn the certification.

Our Entrepreneurship courses are offered at all seven Dallas College campuses.
