State Farm is committed to the educational success of its employees. Through the partnership with Dallas College, the 3 programs listed below can help you can receive credit for your work training, take college classes paid for by State Farm, or register for college classes open to State Farm employees only.

State Farm’s 3 Program Options

  1. College Credit Program (CCP), also known as Credit for Prior Learning
    • Earn your degree faster by receiving college credit for your State Farm training.

    • Save time! Save money! Set yourself up for success!

  2. Community College Tuition Program (CCTP)
    • For State Farm eligible employees, State Farm will cover the cost of your college tuition.

  3. City Link
    • Join your co-workers for a college course created exclusively for State Farm employees.

You may qualify if you are a State Farm employee who has completed training in one of the following job titles:

  • Retention Specialist I
  • Retention Specialist II
  • Acquisition Specialist

  • State Farm employees must meet with a dedicated success coach at Dallas College to help guide them through the process.
  • Complete a Dallas College admissions application. This step may not be necessary if you have previously attended Dallas College.
  • Participants must complete 6 six credit hours with a “C” or higher from Dallas College. State Farm employees are encouraged (but not mandated) to take the following 6 six credit hours associated with Dallas College’s Insurance Customer Service Representative Certificate:

  • Complete an EdAssist application through State Farm and receive your supervisor’s approval.

Once your supervisor confirms that you have finished the State Farm training for one of the related job titles and have finished six credit hours with a “C” or higher, you qualify to earn 12 college credits in the courses below.

Suppose you have taken the suggested 6 six credit hours in MRKG 1311 and MRKG 2333 plus meet the requirements for the 12 credits for prior learning. In that case, you can earn the Insurance Customer Service Representative Certificate.

If you were a previous Dallas College student with 6 six college credit hours in courses other than MRKG 1311 and MRKG 2333, you might use all or some of your credit for prior learning courses towards elective hours of another degree. Because every student situation is different, speak with your dedicated student success coach, who can help you pick the best route for you.

You may register for any approved State Farm program of studies offered at Dallas College.

No, you can take classes in-person or on-line, depending on the available courses you need. State Farm employees can also attend classes at the State Farm headquarters through the City Link program.
