Get Prepared With WorkReadyU

Our team of caring instructors will help you increase your academic skills with small classes and hands-on learning. You can move forward at your own pace and choose classes that best fit your schedule.

HSE classes will develop your skills in five key areas:

  1. Reading
  2. Writing
  3. Math
  4. Science
  5. Social Studies

The cost to take either the HiSET or GED test is not covered through this preparatory program and must be paid by you, the student. However, some local community organizations offer free GED testing, including the Dallas Public Library. Free testing facilities typically require instructor or organizational referral and proof of test preparation course completion. WorkReadyU program instructors and career navigators can help connect you to an approved testing site when you're ready.

When and Where are Classes?

Classes are available year-round during convenient daytime and evening hours
at several Dallas College campuses and partner locations.
