This Dallas College Nursing Summer Camp will introduce students, ages 13-17, to the nursing profession. Students will observe and participate in simulated nursing skills and clinical scenarios. Students will hear what it's like to work as an RN from seasoned RNs. Students will hear from nursing students what it's like to be a nursing student. Clinical scenarios may include medical surgical and emergency room nursing scenarios. Simulated nursing skills may include drawing simulated blood, starting an IV on a manikin, applying EKG pads on a manikin and wound care on a manikin.
