Dr. Ryan Walther is a healthcare educator with over 25 years of clinical experience in radiologic sciences and more than 15 years in higher education. He currently serves as a professor at Dallas College, where he teaches a variety of health professions courses, including Introduction to pathophysiology, Introduction to pharmacology, healthcare management, and basic health professions foundational clinical skills, among others.
Dr. Walther brings extensive hands-on experience from his work in trauma, surgical, fluoroscopic, diagnostic, and cardiac imaging environments, as well as advanced practice in computed tomography. This real-world perspective informs his teaching, allowing him to connect complex concepts to practical application in clinical settings.
He holds a doctoral degree in health professions education from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, where his research examined the impact of pre-matriculated health professions core curricula on student readiness, retention, and overall program success.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Walther is actively involved in curriculum development and instructional design, with a focus on creating engaging, accessible, and outcomes-driven learning experiences. His work emphasizes student success, critical thinking, and preparation for competitive healthcare programs and careers. He is particularly interested in leveraging innovative technologies, including AI-enhanced learning tools, to improve student engagement and educational effectiveness.
