Event: Startup to Success: Small Business Workshop Series

The Dallas College Entrepreneurship Program, in collaboration with the Mesquite Public Library, presents the “Startup to Success” workshop series.

The series of five workshops will alternate between Mesquite Main Library and Mesquite Library North.

Topics will include:

  • Session 1, Oct. 8 — Is a Business Right for Me? (Myths vs. Reality; Finding Your “Why”; Common Characteristics of Entrepreneurs)
    Location: Mesquite Main Library
  • Session 2, Nov. 12 — Find Your Offer and Get Legit (What To sell - products, services, or both; Who Is Your Customer?; Tips for Market Research; Steps To Make It All Official)
    Location: Mesquite Library North
  • Session 3, Feb. 11 — Plan on a Page (Create a simple one-page game plan for your business — no jargon. Leave with a clear next step)
    Location: Mesquite Main Library
  • Session 4, March 11 — Map Your Direction (Mission, Vision, Strategy and SMART Goals — made practical so you can use them the next day)
    Location:  Mesquite Library North
  • Session 5, April 8 — From Idea to Business Plan (Turn your one-page plan into a usable business plan that helps you launch and grow)
    Location: Mesquite Main Library
