Dallas College’s Future of Fashion Runway Show is the culminating runway experience for emerging designers in the Fashion Design Program. The event blends runway presentation with an immersive pop-up and retail exhibition environment.

The event is designed as a hybrid experience: a live runway show paired with curated pop-up installations that allow guests to engage more closely with the students’ work. In the pop-up space, design concepts can be viewed up close in a museum quality exhibition, allowing the creative process to become visible and tangible.

Students also participate in a live pop-up retail experience, offering their own branded garments and accessories for sale during the event. This component introduces designers to brand presentation, pricing, customer engagement, and storytelling, reflecting the intersection of creativity and commerce. This format mirrors today’s fashion landscape: experiential, interactive, and entrepreneurial.

The show also highlights forward-thinking design, technical skill, and concept-driven collections that explore what fashion can become ethically, culturally, and creatively. Draping, patternmaking, and technical construction are transformed into finished collections presented to a live audience of industry leaders, community supporters, and creative collaborators.

More than a final assignment, The Future of Fashion Runway Show is a platform for student voices. It prepares designers to enter the industry with confidence, professionalism, and how to translate their ideas into a fully realized runway collection. The immersive experience offers audiences a meaningful way to discover and support our emerging talent.

Your support ensures that every student, regardless of background, has access to the essential resources, mentorship, and a professional industry experience.

What will happen to Cinderella at the ball … game? That's the surprising climactic question in this contemporary Latin-American Cinderella musical, which delightfully turns the classic fairy tale on its head, telling the story from both Cinderella and the "stepsister's" perspective.
