The Gallery Program of the School of CAED (Creative Arts, Entertainment, and Design) at Dallas College presents Downtown, a group exhibition featuring work by faculty and staff from the Visual Arts program at the El Centro Campus. The exhibition brings together practicing artists whose work spans a range of media, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, metalwork, and printmaking. Downtown highlights the creative practices of educators who remain actively engaged in contemporary artmaking.
Working across disciplines, the artists explore personal, material, and conceptual approaches that reflect the diversity of the Visual Arts program. Their work demonstrates the ongoing experimentation and technical skill that shape their studio practices while contributing to broader conversations within contemporary art.
As both artists and instructors, these faculty members bridge classroom learning with active creative practice. Downtown offers students and visitors the opportunity to encounter the work of the artists who guide their education, reinforcing the connection between teaching, artistic inquiry, and the vibrant creative community within Dallas College’s Visual Arts program.
All exhibits are on view from March 23 - May 1, 2026
