He has taught in various universities including the University of Miami Frost School of Music, Florida International University, and has served on faculty as Associate Professor of Music at University of North Florida since 2005.

John Fedchock is one of the most on-demand trombonists. He made a name for himself on the Woody Herman big band as writer, trombonist, and musical director for many years. His critically acclaimed John Fedchock New York Big Band has become a marquee group, showcasing Fedchock’s trombone and grammy-nominated arranging techniques as well as the band’s all-star soloists. The JFNYBB’s five CDs on the MAMA and Reservoir Music labels have all received high praise from critics and extraordinary success on national jazz radio charts.
