THE RECHARGE ZONE, a show carefully curated by Neurodesigner Marissa Heyl, is an immersive installation inviting visitors to pause, cultivate presence, and spark inspiration. Featured as a selection from The Art of Connection: A Neuroaesthetic Journey to Wellbeing, the work is grounded in neurodesign - shaping environments to support brain-body regulation.
This work, first presented at the Oak Cliff Art Walk, was supported with an ASID-funded research grant, and explores how arts engagement and inclusive environmental design shape well-being to bridge art, neuroscience and public health.
With distinct “flourishing zones” that reduce feelings of anxiety, and leave participants feeling more creative and curious, it serves as a powerful reminder that centering design for neurodiversity benefits all, allowing everyone to thrive in what neuroscientists describe as "enriched environments" that encourage new learning and interaction. Schedule a visit by appointment through the exhibition run by calling 972-730-2257.
