Arriving and Leaving
Tickets, Seating & Parking
Entering the Facility
Graduates will enter the Curtis Culwell Center via the conference area entrance on the north side of the building. This entrance will be clearly marked as being for graduates. Upon entry, graduates will go through security and then check in. From there, volunteers will assist the graduates in taking their seats on the arena floor.
Graduates will be expected to adhere to the same security policies as guests and are encouraged to bring only small items with them that will fit in their pockets.
Guests can enter the Curtis Culwell Center via the north main entrance on the first floor or the west entrance on the second floor.
Exiting the Facility
Following the recessional, graduates and guests will be allowed to meet up outside of the Curtis Culwell Center. Graduates and guests are asked to not congregate inside the center.
Garland Police will be directing traffic after the ceremony.
Each graduate will be provided four e-tickets, which will be sent to them via email to the email address entered on their graduation ceremony RSVP form. A ticket is required for admittance for every guest, including infants, without exception. Guests will not be able to enter the building without a ticket.
Seating is first come, first-served, and guests are asked to not reserve seating. No re-entry will be permitted.
Section 114 is reserved for individuals and their families who require accessible accommodations. The arena floor is reserved for graduates and approved Dallas College staff and administrators only.
To expedite the ceremony and not disrupt the graduating class, guests are requested to meet their graduates outside of the Curtis Culwell Center following the ceremony.
We encourage graduates to car pool with their guests as parking is limited. The Curtis Culwell Center has parking available in multiple lots surrounding the center. There is also overflow parking available at Neiman Forest High School.
View the Curtis Culwell Center parking information.
There are ample handicap accessible spots. It is recommended that guests who need handicap accessible spots park on the west side of the arena and enter through the nearest door.
A professional photographer will be present to take official graduation photos of each graduate during and after they walk across the stage. Students will be given cards at graduation with instructions on how to access and purchase these images after the event.
Guests are not allowed on the floor, nor are they allowed to congregate at the end of aisles to take photos. Guests are asked to take photos from their seats.
All graduation ceremonies will be livestreamed for any family or friends unable to attend the ceremonies in-person. Livestreaming will be available at the start of each ceremony on our graduation website (dallascollege.edu/graduation).
