Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for two-year colleges will be wearing blue and gold cords, gold stoles, gold tassel and a blue ribbon with the official medallion of the honor society.
Alpha Beta Gamma (National Business Honor Society) will be wearing blue stoles, gold tassels and the official pin of the society.
Mu Alpha Theta (National Two-Year Mathematics Honor Society) will be wearing sky blue and gold cords, sky blue and gold tassel, and a gold ribbon with the official medallion of the honor society.
Psi Beta (National Community College Psychology Honor Society) will be wearing a gold stole, blue and gold tassel, and blue and gold ribbon with the official medallion of the honor society.
Sigma Alpha Lambda (National Leadership and Honors Organization) will be wearing blue and gold cords.
Sigma Alpha Pi (The National Society of Leadership and Success) will be wearing silver and black cords, silver and black stoles, and the official pin of the honor society.
Sigma Kappa Delta (National English Honor Society) will be wearing green and gold cords and the official pin of the honor society.
Sigma Delta Mu (National Honor Society for Hispanic Studies at two-year colleges) will be wearing red stoles and cords.
SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society will be wearing white and blue stoles.
Members of the
National Society of Collegiate Scholars will be wearing purple and gold cords, gold stoles, purple and gold tassels, and a purple ribbon with the official medallion of the honor society.
Dallas College Honors Program graduates will be wearing white and gold stoles.
Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces will be wearing red, white and blue cords.
Members of the
Student Government Association will be wearing black and white stoles, white stoles, white cords or a medallion depending on their campus location.
Service Learning participants will be wearing white or teal cords.
Rising Star graduates will be wearing gold medallions with a red, white and blue ribbon.
International students will be wearing a sash or stole that represents their home country.
TRIO Student Support Services graduates will be wearing a white stole with red letters or a red ribbon.
Men of Distinction graduates will be wearing an official pin.
Green Diploma graduates will be wearing a green cord.
Student Ambassadors will be wearing blue and gold cords or white stoles.
Peer Leaders will be wearing white cords.
Participants in the
Student Leadership Institute will be wearing purple cords.
In addition to the above academic and campus program recognition items, students may wear culturally based adornments and multicultural enhancements. These may include woven cloths representing traditional patterns and designs signifying a graduate’s cultural heritage and traditional Indigenous regalia such as an eagle feather or beadwork. Dallas College embraces these forms of adornments as a visual representation of the rich tapestry of our college diversity.
