Health is shaped by more than medicine. It’s influenced by where we live, learn, work, and play. Global Artivism 2026: The Art of Living Well invites students, faculty, and staff to discover how creativity, culture, and community can support everyday well‑being.

Creative Workshops

One Small Doodle Makes Meaning

Facilitated by Aubrey Webster, professional counselor and art therapist

Learn how simple doodling can help manage stress and turn abstract marks into a personal story of growth and resilience.

Latin Dance Workshop

Facilitated by Alondra Puentes Gallegos, visual arts faculty

Move, express and recharge in a fun, rhythm‑filled workshop designed to boost energy and connection.

Blue Zone Tea Garden

11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Step into a globally inspired tea experience, styled like a relaxed afternoon tea service. Explore traditions from the world’s Blue Zones, regions known for longevity, community bonds and purposeful living.

Blue Zone Communities Represented:

  • Okinawa, Japan
  • Sardinia, Italy
  • Ikaria, Greece
  • Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica
  • Loma Linda, California

What You’ll Find:

  • Teas inspired by each Blue Zone
  • Tea sandwiches and light pastries or fruit
  • Mini plant‑pot painting
  • A vine‑wall reflection activity where you can share what “peace” or “health” means to you

Faculty Panel Discussion

12:30–1 p.m.

Join Dallas College faculty for a conversation on how global practices of well‑being can inform healthier daily life, and how students can use their voice to shape community wellness.
