Litssy Alvarez

Litssy Alvarez graduated from Sunset High P-TECH at Mountain View Campus in Oak Cliff. She was born and raised in Dallas and is a first-generation college student looking to major in finance. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and dogs, as well as playing volleyball. Litssy is always up for a challenge and hopes to seek new opportunities that expand her knowledge and experience. Litssy is currently attending the University of Texas at ​Arlington.

 

Anahi Becerra Sandoval

Anahi Becerra from Oak Cliff graduated from​ Trinidad Garza Early College High School and gained an Associate of Science along with her high school diploma. She is now attending Texas Woman’s University and plans to major in social work. She hopes to create a nonprofit that will aid minorities in breaking the stigma around mental health through culturally conscious outreach programs. Anahi hopes that the years at Texas Woman's University will help develop her leadership and networking skills to become a future leader for the Oak Cliff community.

 

Mark Gallegos

Mark Gallegos graduated from​ Moisés E. Molina B-TECH at Mountain View. ​Mark grew up in Oak Cliff, where he still lives with his parents and two younger sisters. He enjoys reading, boxing, playing video games, running, learning and spending time with his family. His dream career is to become a software engineer and create video games. He is continuing his studies at Dallas College Mountain View Campus.​

 

Yesenia Tejeda

Yesenia Tejeda is a first-generation college student who graduated from Sunset P-TECH Early College High School. She was born and raised in Oak Cliff, where she is the second of five children. Yesenia graduated high school with an Associate of Arts and is continuing her studies at The University of North Texas at Dallas. She will major in early childhood education and hopes to become an elementary school teacher and college professor. Yesenia said she’s been blessed to have a strong support group of friends and mentors, as well as a loving family. She hopes to better herself and her community.

 

Hailey Zermeno

Hailey Zermeno graduated from Moisés E. Molina B-TECH at Mountain View and is honored to be chosen for this scholarship. Hailey is from Oak Cliff and hopes to succeed and inspire others to go after their own dreams.​ She is continuing her studies at Dallas College Mountain View Campus.
