The 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open! Completing the FAFSA is the first step in applying for financial aid.

Almost every student is eligible for some financial aid. Many factors determine eligibility, so even if you think your family’s income is too high to qualify or you don’t want to take out loans, you should still apply.

If you are not eligible to submit the FAFSA, you can complete the Texas Application for State Financial Aid.
