“Dallas College Student Care Network is the foundation of our students’ success,” said Dr. Beatriz Joseph, vice chancellor of student success. “By addressing basic needs for food, health and security, we are actively dismantling obstacles that prevent learning while caring for the whole student. The result is sustained academic success and achievement.”

At the national competition, Dallas College was recognized with a Best in Showcase award. The award recognizes the top three community college teams in each category for providing the strongest and most comprehensive elevator pitches explaining their respective program in response to critical issues. The Dallas College team was selected for its comprehensive and succinct program overview, thorough and compelling responses to audience questions and tabletop graphics.
