About 80% of Dallas College students plan to transfer—but only 20% actually do. We’re working to close that gap by offering clear pathways, hands-on support and real opportunities to connect with universities.
Annual Events Provide Solid Ground for Innovation
Transfer Services at Dallas College hosts an outstanding lineup of annual events:
- Oct. 15 - Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Transfer Fair - Eastfield Campus
- Oct. 20-24 - National Transfer Week - featuring 70+ transfer partners across all campuses
- Spring 2026 - HBCU Transfer Fair
- Spring 2026 - Next Steps Week
More Ways to Connect with Universities
- Weekly Micro Fairs – Small pop-ups with six to eight universities
- University Takeovers – Full university experiences on Dallas College campus (admissions, financial aid, mascots and more)
- University Tours – Free to You
Free trips to university campuses. Just bring your time—transportation and meals are covered.
Fall 2025 Tours:
- Oct. 10 – Prairie View A&M + University of Houston (day trip)
- Nov. 5–7 – Southern Texas Tour (overnight): Texas State, UTSA, Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, UT Rio Grande
- Coming Soon: Out-of-state tour to Mississippi and Alabama
These events often include waived application fees, making it the perfect time to apply.
"It's one thing for university departments to come to our campuses and talk about the great programs they have,” said Tim McDuffie, associate dean of transfer services. “It's a whole other experience for students to step foot on the grass at those institutions."
