Dallas College alumna Iris Diaz didn’t set out to become the first Latina to serve as a chief marketing officer for an NBA franchise. She simply did her job to the best of her abilities. Eventually, that hard work paid off when she was promoted to CMO of the Dallas Mavericks in 2019.

Dr. Pamela Luckett, chief digital engagement officer, and Dr. Nikki Ceaser-Small, senior director of campus administration at Dallas College Cedar Valley Campus, will take part in the institute's annual leadership gathering.

The latest Dallas College students to earn the scholarship are Jonalda Basha, Daisy Donjuan, So My Ho and Lynn Mounce.
