TASFA Requirements

The Department of Student Financial Resources and Scholarships is committed to helping all students achieve their educational goals by providing quality customer service and connecting students with available financial aid resources to pay for their educational expenses.

Contact Financial Aid today to see what financial aid resources you are eligible to apply for.

Who can submit a TASFA?

The Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) is available to eligible students who can lawfully reside in the United States and are classified as Texas residents by an institution of higher education. To qualify, you must be eligible for in-state tuition rates. (Note: Tuition waivers do not meet this requirement.)

You should not complete the TASFA if you are eligible to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

For residency-related questions, please contact the Dallas College Admissions Office at  Admissions@DallasCollege.edu or visit the Residency Requirements page for additional details.

Please note that international students are not eligible for state or federal financial aid programs.
