You have the right to cancel all or a portion of a federal student loan prior to disbursement.
To cancel a student loan, please visit your local campus Financial Aid Office.
If funds have already been disbursed through
eRefunds, then your loan will be canceled if we receive your request
within 14 days after the loan was disbursed, as long as you return all funds in full to one of our campus
Cashier's Office. You will be asked to coordinate the return of funds with the college Financial Aid Office and the college Cashier's Office.
If it has been more than 14 days since your loan was disbursed, you may contact the Department of Education to request loan cancellation.
