Parent Promise Eligibility

1. Do you have a student who will be graduating from a Promise High School?

2. Is your family's annual Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) less than $75,000?

If you answered “yes” to each of those questions, you may qualify to become a Parent Promise Scholar.

Next Steps

1. Path Form

   • Due: July 1, 2025

   • Check your email for a link to the Path Form or email ParentPromise@DallasCollege.edu for assistance.

2. Apply to Dallas College

   • Due: July 1, 2025

   • Complete the Dallas College application.

3. Apply for Financial Aid

   • Due: July 1, 2025

   • Complete the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid or Texas Application for State Financial Aid.

4. Enroll

   • Enroll by Aug. 20, 2025

   • Visit your nearest campus to meet with a success coach to register for classes and complete the enrollment steps.

5. Attend Parent Promise Orientation

   • Summer 2025 (TBA)

   • Attend mandatory virtual orientation or in-person orientation. Details to come.
