Parent Promise Eligibility

1. Do you have a student who will be graduating from a Promise High School?

2. Is your family's annual Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) less than $75,000?

If you answered “yes” to each of those questions, you qualify to become a Parent Promise Scholar!

Parent Promise Path Form is open Sept. 1, 2024-Feb. 2025.

Next Steps

1. Path Form

   Due: Feb. 1, 2025

   Complete the Parent Path Form

   If you need help completing your path form, please reach out to the Parent Promise Team at ParentPromise@DallasCollege.edu.

2. Apply to Dallas College

   Due: May 1, 2025

   Complete the Apply Texas Application to Dallas College.

3. Apply for financial aid by May 1, 2025.

   The 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid and Texas Application for State Financial Aid are expected to open on or before Dec. 1, 2024.

4. Enroll

   Enroll before August 1, 2025

   Visit your nearest campus to meet with a Success Coach to register for classes and complete the enrollment steps.

5. Attend Parent Promise Orientation

   Summer 2025 (TBA)

   Attend MANDATORY Virtual Orientation or In-Person Orientation. Details to come.
