Dallas College Foundation Scholarships

Dallas College Foundation offers over 300 scholarship opportunities annually to Dallas College students. Scholarship awards are based on academic excellence, achievement, leadership, goals and/or other factors.

​How To Apply

General Scholarship Application

  1. Visit the Foundation Scholarship Opportunities page. 
  2. Click "Sign In" on the upper right corner with your Dallas College student email. You will be directed to the General Scholarship application. Complete the entire application and submit.
    • Note: The general scholarship application automatically places you in the applicant pool for over 300 scholarships, based on your eligibility. You can then apply for additional, individual scholarships that require additional information. These 300 automatch scholarship opportunities are identified in the Action column as “None”.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

  1. Visit the Foundation Scholarship Opportunities page. 
  2. Hold mouse over the "Opportunities" menu dropdown button at the top of the page.
  3. Select "Recommended" or "All". “Keep in mind that 'recommended' is not the equivalent of ‘qualified’.”
  4. Click on the name of a scholarship to see if you meet the eligibility requirements.
  5. If you meet the eligibility requirements click on Apply. Complete additional supplemental questions and submit when finished.
    • Note: International and DACA students should select "21-International/DACA" from the "Show Filters" dropdown list. You can also use a keyword to search by your major or program of study.

There are no age restrictions on many foundation scholarships, and there are no age restrictions on federal student aid eligibility.

No, due to Promise and Rising Star scholarships covering all tuition (books included).

Some scholarships awarded through this competitive application process require the recipient to show financial need as determined by the annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All newly admitted and continuing Dallas College students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA, regardless of family income. There is no application fee, and the eligibility information received from the application will assist with budgeting for education-related expenses.

Complete the FAFSA online at FAFSA.gov.

You can log in to the myScholarships portal after the deadline and check the status of your application. If you are offered a scholarship, you will receive an email notifying you of your award two to three weeks after the deadline date with instructions on how to accept the award.
