Community and Drive-Thru Pantry Days

Thanks to Dallas College and North Texas Food Bank, community members can access free food on campus during “Community Pantry” and “Drive-Thru Pantry” days.

  • Community Pantry Days are special days when the food pantries based on campus are open to everyone (not just students) to shop for free!
  • Drive-Thru Pantry Days are when community members can drive through campus and pick up free groceries, including fresh produce and milk.

There is no need to register for either event.

Tips for using the Drive-Thru Pantry:

  • Drive-Thru Pantry is first come, first served.
  • Arrive early to ensure you get some of the fresh produce available from the North Texas Food Bank.
  • You must have a vehicle to pick up groceries.
  • Drive-Thru Pantry participants are required to share their family size to receive food. No proof is necessary; the process is a self-declaration.
  • Read more about how to receive food.

Drive-thru pantry days may be rescheduled or cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. The latest delivery information will be shared through Dallas College social media.

Get Free Fresh Food

Local grocery stores provide perishable food — such as fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and milk — for the Eastfield Campus and Pleasant Grove Center pantries.

Students and community members can sign up to receive text notifications when perishable food is available at these locations. Text CARE to 469-262-2009.
