Welcome to Dallas College.
Today we are going to look at some of the important pieces of technology that you will be using here at the college, as well as where they can be accessed.
First, we're going to talk about signing in When you are a signed into your account, there are several other services that you will be able to access without having to sign in again.
This is called single sign on.
To secure our accounts, we have set up multi factor authentication.
This process can be done either using the Microsoft Authenticator mobile app or using a browser based solution.
The browser based solution has you select images to act as your personal passkey.

Here you can see several apps as well as your success coach, your class schedule, your inbox and options for online support.
Now let's look at some of the resources on this page that you may be using this semester.
eCampus, this page is an online portal to interact with your classes and provides you the ability to check messages from your professor, your grades, submit assignments and quizzes, and all other classwork.
Starting in the fall, you will have access to a brief training course that will prepare you to take the online portion of any of your classes.
To access your ebooks, textbooks and some supplies, you can access the IncludED system on eCampus.
Also, when it comes time to deal with your class schedule, whether it be searching, registering, or paying for classes, you can do so on the eConnect and Self Service portal.
Lightcast lets you and a success coach look at your best career options based off your skill set and interests.
Virtual desktops provide a Windows 11 environment for you to work in while on campus, and you can even access it with your own device, such as your computer, laptop, tablet, or phone.
You will have access to a full version of Windows and all of your files will be available through OneDrive.
Microsoft Teams helps you connect with your classmates and instructors.
With Teams you can make video and voice calls, set up meetings, send chats, and share files to communicate with your professors, college staff, success coaches, and even other students.
Microsoft Outlook is your robust student email account.
A mobile app is available for Outlook that makes it easier to keep up with school on the go.
One drive is your personal cloud storage space.
You can save and access all of your student files from OneDrive, and we provided you with 1 Tb of storage, so you'll never have to worry about running out of space.
