Child Care Resources

Dallas College provides a multifaceted and flexible approach to child care services for college students.

Our solutions for child care are designed to ensure that you have access to high-quality child care options that will have long-term benefits for both you and your child. We want to remove barriers that could prevent you from completing your educational goals.

Connect with child care resources to get the support you need while you reach for your dreams. Check out these options:

Dallas College Child Care Program

Complete the Student Care Form to be contacted with information about the Dallas College Child Care Program. It is the first step in accessing services. In addition to help in the form of a child care voucher (if you qualify), we can also provide you with a list of licensed child care centers near you, including Early Head Start and Head Start Child Care locations, for you to select from.

Note: students pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree or certificate may qualify for the Working Wonders program — an option within the Dallas College Child Care Program that grants eligible students help in the form of a limited child care subsidy, textbook loans and other services.

Child Care on Campus

Child Care is available on campus at our Brookhaven and Eastfield locations. Dallas College students who meet the income eligibility requirements can receive services free of charge (as space permits).

At Eastfield Campus the ChildCareGroup runs an Early Head Start and Head Start Childhood Center. Services for children from 6 months to 5 years old include education and day care, family services for children with special needs, extended care for working parents and more.

Our Brookhaven Campus also hosts a Head Start Center with care for children between 3 and 5 years old.

Additional child care resources may be found through My Community Services or 211 Texas.

If you have questions about child care assistance, please call 972-669-6400 and ask for the Basic Needs and Community Connections, or email connections@dcccd.edu.

Our student care coordinators will refer you to the resources that best meet your needs.
