Housing Insecurity Resources

Lacking shelter, or being unable to pay your rent, can be daunting and overwhelming. But you don’t have to suffer in silence. Help is here.

The Dallas College Student Care Network has resources to help you overcome your current obstacles and attain stability for your future. We are here to help you get on your feet, stay on your feet and finish school. The Student Care Network is available to all Dallas College students.

Shelter Assistance

For shelter and utility bill assistance, complete the Student Care form. Once you complete this form, your Student Care Coordinator will email you to set up a conversation over video, by telephone or on campus. If you have not heard from your Student Care Coordinator within two business days, please call 214-860-5800 and ask for a Student Care Coordinator or email Connections@DallasCollege.edu .

Emergency Shelter Assistance

If you are a parent with children under the age of 18 and you are in an emergency shelter situation (you have no shelter tonight and no friends or family with whom you can stay), call the Homeless Crisis Helpline at 1-888-411-6802 and select option 3. Family Gateway also has an online assessment form. Once you complete it a Family Gateway staff member will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

Rental Assistance

While rental assistance through Dallas College is temporarily unavailable, our Student Care Coordinators can connect you with other, local rental assistance programs. Please complete the Student Care Form and we will contact you.
