​​The Testing Centers provide assessment and instructional testing to new and current students. Each Dallas College campus has a Testing Center that offers testing services to their campus.

 

New! Academic & Instructional (classroom) testing is separate from Placement Testing.

  • Placement Testing is used to determine your current level of skills and knowledge in reading, writing and math.
  • Academic & Instructional Testing or classroom testing are tests given by classroom instructors to students, which can be in the form of make-up test, online or computer-generated tests, and other proctored tests.​ Get more information on Academic Testing

Please note that instructional testing now takes place in the Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) located in Building C, C-206.

For GED testing, go to the GED Testing Service website to create an ID, register and find study materials. When you select Cedar Valley as the place to test, the site will provide the address, room number and building.

Your assessment requirements can be met at El Centro's Testing Center at the downtown location. We are here to serve students and faculty. The Downtown Testing Center is a closed center. We only test El Centro students and people who are enrolling. Walk-ins are welcomed for assessment testing if there are available testing stations. We prefer that you make and keep an appointment. We operate in a quiet, user-friendly environment. All staff members are well-trained, friendly and eager to assist you. The Testing Center provides assessment and instructional testing to new and current students.

  • The Richland Test Center is a closed campus, meaning that it will only administer exams/test to Richland students and with exception to other Dallas College campuses and the CLEP.
  • Be aware that testing rooms are monitored by cameras, and computer screens are monitored as well.
  • A photo ID is required for all testing.
  • All cell phones must be turned completely off.
  • Richland and its employees cannot be responsible for the safety and welfare of children on campus.
  • Children should not be brought to the campus; please arrange for appropriate child care.
  • Children on campus must be under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
