What is Competency-Based Education (CBE)?

CBE puts you in control of your learning by:

  • Learning at your own pace. You choose where and when you study.
  • Advancing by proving competency, not by logging hours.
  • Fitting school into your busy life instead of trying to change your life to fit into school.

Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)

Your experience counts. With Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), you can earn college credit for knowledge and skills gained through work experience, training, certifications, or military service. CPL can shorten your path to graduation and reduce costs—especially for experienced professionals moving into management.
