The OHSD program offers flexible scheduling allowing you to complete coursework at your pace. Most students complete the program in three to six months, but you have up to 12 months to finish.
OHSD courses are grant-funded for eligible students, meaning you may pay little or nothing for your academic courses. You may be able to complete career pathway programs at low or no cost thanks to additional grants and partnerships.
This program is designed to help eligible students achieve two goals, earning a state-recognized high school diploma and completing a career certification program. By combining academic achievement with hands-on career training, you’ll graduate with in-demand, career-ready credentials to prepare you for today’s job market.
Initial eligibility criteria:
- Age 18 or older
- Do not have a high school diploma
- Must co-enroll in a career pathway program
Career Certification Options:
Choose from in-demand fields and earn a credential that employers value:
- Allied Health: Nurse Aide (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), EKG Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Sterile Processing, Phlebotomy
- Manufacturing and Industrial Technology: HVAC, Welding, Forklift, Industry 4.0, Computer-Aided Design and Drafting, Logistics
- Information Technology: Cybersecurity, CompTIA, Help Desk (starting Fall 2026)
