Lifelong Learning Program (Senior Adult Program)

What Is the Lifelong Learning Program?

The Dallas College Lifelong Learning Program is designed to support the educational, social and personal enrichment of adults aged 55 and older through a wide variety of continuing education (CE) classes. These noncredit courses focus on topics that engage the mind, body and spirit — without the pressure of grades, exams or long-term commitments.

Our Lifelong Learning offerings include:

  • Technology and digital literacy
  • Health and wellness
  • Art and creativity
  • Financial literacy
  • Community and cultural topics

Classes are designed to be accessible, flexible and low-cost or no-cost, making lifelong learning a reality for all interested older adults.

While the primary focus is on noncredit continuing education, senior adults who are 65 years or older may also choose to enroll in credit classes using the Senior Tuition Waiver, which covers up to six credit hours per semester if eligibility requirements are met. These credit courses follow traditional college expectations and are open to all students.

Whether you’re returning to the classroom or trying something entirely new, the Lifelong Learning Program provides meaningful opportunities to stay engaged, active and connected.
