Student Experience: Kyle Busch

“To tell the truth, I didn’t even know about the game design program when I came to Richland. I discovered it by a fluke. But the second I found out they were offering game design, I was hooked.

“I’ve met some of the most inspirational and devoted teachers here at Richland, which definitely helps the learning process. My best-case scenario would be to get into the gaming industry, with 3-D modeling and concept design as specialties. I’d love to work for an independent developer like Gearbox in Plano, where the staff tends to be close-knit.

“I would definitely recommend this program to either get right into the industry or as a foundation for another degree. It’s inexpensive, and it teaches you all of the basics and more.”  Kyle Busch served as the first president of the program’s new student club, formed in fall 2007.
