Learning Frameworks (EDUC 1300) is a first-year success course designed for students who are new to college. This course helps you learn how college works, how to study effectively and how to get support when you need it.

Who Should Take Learning Frameworks?

Learning Frameworks (EDUC 1300) is a required course for some students, but it’s highly recommended for all students who are new to college.

For many students, EDUC 1300 also counts toward the Core Curriculum for an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.

After Enrolling in EDUC 1300, Consider Joining Ascender

Ascender is a student support network at Dallas College. It connects you with people, programs and resources that can help you stay on track in college and reach your goals.

When you enroll in Ascender, you will be placed in a learning community with other students. Your learning community will take certain in-person classes, including Learning Frameworks, together during your first and second semesters of college.
