Checking Grades for Dual Credit Students

Keeping track of your grades is an important part of staying on track in your college courses. Where you view your grades depends on whether you are checking your progress during the semester or viewing your final grades after the semester ends.

Checking Grades During the Semester

Use eCampus to monitor your grades and progress throughout your course.

  • Log in to eCampus and open the course you want to review.
  • Select Grades from the course navigation bar.
  • Review grades for assignments, quizzes, discussions and other graded activities.
  • Look for comments or feedback provided by your instructor.
  • If you are waiting for a grade that has not been posted, contact your instructor directly.

Note: The information displayed in eCampus may vary depending on how your instructor has set up the course and gradebook.

Viewing Final Grades

After the semester ends, use Workday to view your final Dallas College grades and academic record.

  • Log in to Student Workday.
  • Select Academics Hub under Your Top Apps.
  • Access your academic records to review your final grades and other academic information.

What Is Considered a Passing Grade?

For dual credit students, earning a C or better is important for staying on track.

Your high school may consider a D a passing grade for high school credit, but Dallas College does not. A D may also prevent you from moving on to the next course in a sequence.

For example: If you earn a D in ENGL 1301, you cannot enroll in ENGL 1302. You would need to retake ENGL 1301 at your own expense and earn a C or better before continuing.

Always check with your high school counselor to understand how your college grade will affect your high school credit.

Grade Point Average (GPA)

Academic standing is based on GPA1.

GPA1 is the overall or cumulative grade point average for all courses attempted with Dallas College.

GOOD academic standing equals a GPA1 of 2.0 or higher.

Probation, or PROB, academic standing means your GPA1 is below 2.0. If placed on PROB, you must bring your GPA up to a 2.0 or higher by the end of the following semester or you will be placed on Academic Suspension and required to sit out of college classes for a semester. You may have to complete additional requirements.

Calculating Your GPA

Your grade point average (GPA) reflects your overall academic performance at Dallas College and is recalculated at the end of each semester.

To remain in good academic standing, you must maintain a cumulative Dallas College GPA of 2.0 or higher.

If your GPA falls below 2.0:

  • You may be placed on academic probation.
  • You will need to raise your GPA to at least 2.0 by the end of the following semester.
  • If your GPA remains below 2.0, you may be placed on academic suspension and required to sit out from college courses for a semester.
  • Additional requirements may apply before you can return.

Remember: The grades you earn in dual credit become part of your permanent Dallas College academic record and can affect your ability to continue taking college courses.
