Congratulations to Coach Michael Martin on his induction into the NJCAA Hall of Fame, a well-deserved honor recognizing an extraordinary coaching career and lasting impact on junior college athletics.

Now in his 25th year as head coach at Eastfield, Martin has compiled an impressive 861-458-1 record with the Harvester Bees. His collegiate coaching career, which includes four years at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, brings an overall record of 967-556-3.

Under Martin’s leadership, the Harvester Bees captured NJCAA Division III National Championships in 2006 and 2011. His teams also earned national runner-up finishes in 2022, 2023 and 2024, underscoring the program’s sustained excellence. Martin was named NJCAA Division III Coach of the Year in both championship seasons.

His success extends beyond wins and titles. Throughout his career, Martin has coached 35 NJCAA Division III All-Americans and 129 all-conference and all-region selections. He has also earned 12 Metro Athletic Conference or Dallas Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors.

From 2022 to 2024, the Harvester Bees won at least 47 games each season, compiling a remarkable 145-40-1 record, including a 50-win campaign in 2024.

Reflecting on the honor, Martin credited those who helped shape his journey.

“I’ve been fortunate to work alongside outstanding assistant coaches throughout my career," Martin said. "To my players, past and present, you are the reason I stand here today.”

Martin was formally inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame on Friday, May 22 in Grand Junction, Colorado, before the start of the NJCAA Division I World Series.
