Daniel Díaz Joins Dallas College as Vice Chancellor of External Affairs

Headshot of Daniel Díaz Daniel Díaz Dallas, Texas — After an extensive nationwide search, Dallas College is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Díaz as the institution’s next vice chancellor of external affairs, effective today. 

In his new role, Díaz will lead efforts to enhance the institution’s visibility and reputation; guide comprehensive internal and external communications; expand partnerships with government leaders and civic organizations; and support Dallas College’s crisis preparedness and response. He will also provide strategic counsel on public perception, issues management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with the institution’s mission and long‑term priorities.

Díaz joins Dallas College with a distinguished record in global communications, public affairs, and enterprise-level strategy. He has held senior leadership roles at major multinational organizations across the telecommunications, financial services, and consumer sectors, including Verizon and Citigroup.  

“Daniel brings a breadth of global expertise and engagement experience that will strengthen our efforts to engage communities, elevate our brand, and support the evolving needs of Dallas County,” said Dallas College Chancellor Justin H. Over the course of his career, Díaz has guided large international teams, built integrated communications frameworks, strengthened reputation and media visibility, and shaped organizational narratives across diverse markets. His portfolio also includes experience in Washington, D.C., where he supported national issues management, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs initiatives through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
