As summer winds down and you prepare for the start of classes, why not turn your next campus visit into an adventure? Dallas College locations are home to dozens of unexpected treasures, from scenic nature trails and historic landmarks to public art and community spaces.

Did you know every Dallas College campus features at least one public art gallery? At North Lake Campus you can find a huge, outdoor sculpture by renowned Mexican American artist and educator Octavio Medellín.

At the Downtown Health Sciences Center, student hygienists provide free preventative dental services to the community (by appointment).

Nature lovers have plenty to discover, too. Explore the wildlife sanctuary and trails at Mountain View Campus, stroll through Brookhaven’s native plant and pollinator garden and tallgrass prairie, or relax beside the lake at Richland Campus, where waters from the historic McKamy Spring flow into regional waterways.

History enthusiasts can visit the Motley family cemetery, marked by an official Texas Historical Marker on the Eastfield Campus. Looking for a peaceful retreat? Cedar Valley Campus’ Lake View Gazebo and Patio offer the perfect spot for birdwatching, turtle spotting or enjoying a moment of serenity.
