Luz Valle had built a nice little home business making wedding invitations. She was well known throughout the Hispanic community, but her business plummeted during the COVID-19 pandemic. She turned a bad situation into good by embarking on a new career with help from Dallas College. She was joined at Dallas College by her son, Kevin.

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Grand Prairie (HCCGP) will appoint longtime Dallas College executive Elizabeth Guerra to its board of directors.

Dallas College Richland's theater program was recognized with three Kennedy Center awards: Citizen Artist Award, Distinguished Achievement in the Facilitation of a Brave Rehearsal Space and Dallas College student Ava Stipe was recognized for distinguished achievement in stage management. The honors related to the program's production of "Self-Injurious Behavior."

"Little Egypt" will be recognized in a city ceremony designating the site as critical to Dallas' history.
