Demand for skilled technicians remains high amid accelerated construction in DFW.

More than 1,100 students from across North Texas were on hand to experience what careers in construction entail from 40 industry partners at the TEXO Expo. Exhibits featured everything from how construction workers use rope grabs on projects to the ins and outs of building a NASCAR car.

Throughout high school, Nikki Brilliant was in an automotive program. She talked with her teacher about going to another city — about continuing to pursue her passion and education. Since she had only owned Hondas, Brilliant decided to look into the Honda Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT) program. Compared to other schools across the state with the program, there was something about Dallas College that stood out to her.
