2025-2026 Financial Aid Disbursement Schedule

Wondering when you'll receive your financial aid? Below are the estimated disbursement dates for Dallas College for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Important Notes:

  • The 2025–2026 financial aid award year runs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
  • You must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements to remain eligible for financial aid.
  • Your financial aid file must be completed and maintained as complete to receive eligible funds.

Disbursement by Semester

Fall 2025

  • Payment period: Aug. 25, 2025-Dec. 11, 2025
  • Disbursement: The initial round of financial aid for the 16-week and first 8-week sessions will begin being released after the census date. For students enrolled in the second 8-week session, including both continuing students with remaining aid and new students starting in the second 8 weeks, financial aid will be released after the second 8-week census date.
  • Refunds: Issued 10–14 days after the census date

Note: If you receive a Pell Grant refund and later drop classes, you may be required to repay all or part of that refund.

Spring 2026

  • Payment period: Dec. 12, 2025-May 14, 2026
  • Disbursement: The initial round of financial aid for the 16-week and first 8-week sessions will begin being released after the census date. For students enrolled in the second 8-week session, including both continuing students with remaining aid and new students starting in the second 8 weeks, financial aid will be released after the second 8-week census date.
  • Refunds: Issued 10–14 days after the census date

Note: If you receive a Pell Grant refund and later drop classes, you may be required to repay all or part of that refund.

Summer 2026

  • Payment period: May 15, 2026-Aug. 13, 2026
  • Disbursement: For the summer term, financial aid for the 10-week and first 5-week sessions will begin being released after the census date. Remaining aid, as well as aid for students beginning in the second 5-week session, will be released after the second 5-week census date.
  • Refunds: Issued 10–14 days after the census date

Note: If you receive a Pell Grant refund and later drop classes, you may be required to repay all or part of that refund.

Certification of Attendance

You must be certified as attending your credit class(es) by your professor. Certification dates are listed on the academic calendar

Refunds

Refunds begin 10 to 14 days after your attendance is certified and will only be issued if you have eligible funds due to you.

Federal Direct Loans

  • Eligibility-based disbursement
  • First-time borrowers: Loan funds are disbursed 30 days after the semester begins
  • Returning borrowers: Loans are disbursed after the census date

  • Set up your eRefunds account to receive your refund electronically.
  • Complete all required steps and maintain eligibility throughout the year.
